They're baaaaack...


After some time off for the holidays the old gang came in to start the year off right! Over 30 members came in for some strength and conditioning.


We started working the strict kettlebell press. The key to the press isn't in the shoulder or arm but the power lies in the body. You can't press heavy weight if you don't have a solid foundation to press from. You must be rooted to the ground starting with making a physical and mental connection to the ground. That's why it's so important to wear flat soled shoes. From the feet you work your way up..suck your knee caps up into your quads, lock down the glutes...big belly full of compressed air...crush grip opposite hand...crush grip the handle...full body tension...and finish with hissing air breath....instant ninja trick to increasing your pressing weight and any maximal strength effort.

After working some strength we went right into 3 stations of 15 seconds of work/15 seconds for 7 minutes at each station. See above photo for the combos. It was a great way to kick start the year and get things moving.
